2008 - Just Another Year?

2008. 2008. 2008. 2008.

I've finally written it down - that this year I'll make conscious effort to update this blog of mine constantly (once a week at least).

The office has blocked access to any instant messengers and social network sites as well as most entertainment sites. Thank God there's access to blogs.

It has been almost 2 months into my new job - the Risk Surveyor and it's pretty enjoyable so far. The nature of work will require me to travel quite a bit - it's a 50 in and 50 out job which is all fine by me. I just got my petrol card and parking card in this month as well. Having my expenditure on gas and parking taken out is a BIG thing (at least for me) especially when you're parking around KL where parking rates can go anywhere from RM3.50 to a whopping RM16 per day.

I look forward to the day I start travelling. I've always wanted to see my country - from the fishing villages of terengganu to any nook and cranny of the Mulu Caves. My senior was telling me he has gone to every town in Malaysia - after working as a surveyor for 4 years. I wonder if I can do that in a lesser amount of time.

I'm planning to start committing some time to an NGO - thinking of either the FPA or an orphanage. Hopefully before the first quarter of the year.
